Daily Dog Breed from The DOG Table is the Berger Picard from the Foundation Stock Service Class
“The Berger Picard or Picardy Shepherd is a French breed of dog of the herding group of breeds. These dogs nearly became extinct after both World War I and World War II and remain a rare breed to this day. This breed of dog is people-oriented, loyal, and can make a good family pet if properly socialized early in life.”

The Foundation Stock Service Breeds of the AKC will be added to The Dog Table this summer.
Each of the following breeds has been accepted for recording in the AKC Foundation Stock Service . The AKC provides this service to allow these purebred breeds to continue to develop while providing them with the security of a reliable and reputable avenue to maintain their records. FSS breeds are not eligible for AKC registration. Several of the FSS breeds are approved to compete in AKC Companion Events.
